Salesforce can represent almost any process. That is the risk. Unowned flows, overlapping validation, and page layouts for every request make the org slower than the spreadsheet it replaced.
Name the object model out loud
If two teams cannot agree whether a “project” is an Opportunity, a custom object, or a Case, no amount of Flow will help. Draw the objects and relationships before automating.
Keep entry criteria visible. A flow that “sometimes runs” is a support ticket waiting to happen.
Report from the same definitions
Dashboards should answer operating questions: what is waiting, who owns it, and what is blocked. Vanity reports that nobody can reconcile to the records will be ignored.
