Odoo can cover CRM, sales, inventory, accounting, HR, and projects. Teams get into trouble when they customize the first screen they dislike instead of learning which app already holds the process.
Roll out apps in the order of cash flow
A typical sequence is CRM and sales, then delivery or inventory, then accounting connections. Turning on every app on day one overwhelms the team and multiplies configuration errors.
Studio and small automations are enough for many gaps. A custom module is justified when the business object truly does not exist.
Keep upgrades in mind
Heavy core overrides make version upgrades expensive. Isolate custom logic, name it, and test the standard flow still works.
UHM Tech implements Odoo as an operations platform with a bias toward configuration first and modules when they create durable value.
